Tony Khan: Nobody Tries To Talk Sting Into Doing The Insane Things He Does
Tony Khan is looking forward to Sting’s last run.
Sting is wrapping up his career in the coming months with his retirement match set to take place at AEW Revolution 2024. Sting has had a career resurgence since joining AEW in 2020 and getting back into the ring, first in cinematic fashion and then in the actual ring, in 2021.
Speaking on the AEW Full Gear media call, Tony Khan commented on Sting’s last run.
“For Sting, I expect he will go out in a great blaze of glory. Nobody tries to talk Sting into doing the insane things he does in these matches. He’s always trying to push the limits. It goes to show that he just wants the fans to have a good time and that’s a mindset Sting has brought to wrestling for so many years. Now, in 2023, these past couple of years, I think Sting has been crazier than ever and done some of the wildest stuff he’s ever done in wrestling in his 60’s and we want to make sure we give him a great last run in AEW,” he said.
Darby Allin has given similar comments in the past, saying that Sting comes up with many jump ideas.
Sting is set to team with Adam Copeland & Darby Allin at AEW Full Gear to take on Christian Cage, Nick Wayne, & Luchasaurus.
