Konosuke Takeshita: My Match With Chris Jericho Will Remind People Why They Love Wrestling

Konosuke Takeshita says he and Chris Jericho will remind fans why they love professional wrestling.

Konosuke Takeshita looks forward to his match with Chris Jericho.

Takeshita and Jericho are scheduled to face off in singles competition at DDT Ultimate Party 2023 on November 12th.

The match comes as part of the rivarly between Chris Jericho and Don Callis, in which Callis had attempted to court Jericho into joining his family. In the end, Callis would turn on Jericho immediately following Chris’ decision to join the faction. Since then, Jericho has allied up with Kenny Omega to form the Golden Jets.

While speaking to Sports Illustrated, “The Alpha” Konosuke Takeshita was asked what fans can expect to see from him in the next week, as he will first square off with Jericho before a blockbuster eight man street fight on Wednesday’s AEW Dynamite.  Takeshita noted that he and Jericho will remind fans why they love wrestling.

“The answer is simple. We’re going to make people’s hearts burn with excitement when they watch us and remind them why they love wrestling. And Konosuke Takeshita is definitely “The Alpha”. When you watch these matches, you will see why I can testify to that.” he said.

Takeshita last competed on the October 25th edition of AEW Rampage, when he went one on one with Kyle Fletcher.

Chris Jericho will also have a busy schedule coming up, as he and Kenny Omega will also compete in the eight man tag street fight match this Wednesday while they will also compete at AEW Full Gear vs The Young Bucks.
