Bantamweight Title Fight Headlining Bellator 184

The Bellator MMA Bantamweight Title is going to be defended at Bellator 184 as champion Eduardo Dantas defends against Darrion Caldwell.

Dantas (20-4-0) is going to be making the second defense of his championship, as he last defended it against Joe Warren at Bellator 166. Dantas is a two time Bellator MMA Bantamweight Champion, defeating UFC veteran Zach Makovsky to start his first reign and defeating Marcos Galvao to start his second reign. Dantas has only suffered a single defeat in his entire Bellator MMA tenure– to Joe Warren at Bellator 128.

Caldwell (10-1-0) has won eight of nine fights under the Bellator MMA banner, most notably defeating former bantamweight champion Joe Warren and Joe Taimanglo. Caldwell is going to be headlining his fourth straight Bellator MMA card, as he has previously headlined Bellator 151, Bellator 159 and Bellator 167. Caldwell also spent some time in the Legacy Fighting Championships, winning all three fights he had in the promotion.

In the co-main event of the evening, it is going to be a featherweight division affair as former Bellator MMA Featherweight Champion Daniel Straus faces Emmanuel Sanchez.

Bellator 184 takes place on Friday, October 6 from the Winstar World Casino in Thackerville, Oklahoma with Eduardo Dantas and Darrion Caldwell headlining. Fightful is providing live coverage of the event, which airs live on Spike TV.
