– One of the reasons given regarding the TNA name change we were told was for general buzz, and to unite the history of the company, which has been known as TNA, NWA TNA, IMPACT and GFW.
– We’re told that a lot of planning went into this and actually it was considered as far back as the summer, but kept getting pushed back.
– There will be a complete presentation shift in the program from, venues, to production, to logos and look.
– They’re not planning on bringing back the six-sided ring, and talent that we’ve spoken to do not want it back.
– IMPACT was happy with the buzz that IMPACT 1000 received and the nostalgia associated with it, which didn’t hurt matters.
– There were more extended plans for TNA as a separate entity in 2020, but the COVID pandemic slowed that down.
