Mistico made his AEW debut on the October 20 episode of AEW Rampage, taking on Rocky Romero. The match was taped following the October 18 episode of AEW Dynamite.
The bout between Mistico and Romero came together thanks to AEW partnering with CMLL.
Mistico was victorious in the bout against Romero, forcing Rocky to tap out with La Mistica.
Taking to social media, Mistico gave thanks to Tony Khan, AEW, and the Texas crowd.
