Tiffany Stratton: Becky Lynch Suggested Barbie Spot At NXT No Mercy
At NXT No Mercy, Tiffany Stratton battled Becky Lynch in an Extreme Rules match for the NXT Women’s Championship.
At one point in the match, a bag of Barbies was pulled out and Stratton was slammed onto them. Stratton has had Barbie references to her character in the past, including a Barbie entrance.
Speaking to Stephanie Chase of Digital Spy, Stratton revealed that the Barbie spot was pitched by Lynch.
“That was definitely Becky’s idea. Becky has amazing ideas, but she thought it would be so cool and so wacky to just have that visual. Everyone thinks [the bag] would have like thumbtacks or something like that, and then [she] pours it out and it’s Barbies and Barbie heads and we squash the Barbies and stuff. So that was definitely her idea,” she said.
Despite her Barbie tie-ins, Stratton admitted she has not seen The Barbie Movie.
“I just been so busy and I’m not really much of a movie person,” she said. “It’s kind of hard for me to just sit down and watch one thing.”
Lynch was victorious in the NXT Women’s Title bout at NXT No Mercy.
Stratton has not been back in the ring since the match.
