Tommaso Ciampa Not Cleared To Compete On 10/16 WWE Raw

Johnny Gargano had to do it himself on the October 16 episode of WWE Raw.

Johnny Gargano returned on the October 2 episode of WWE Raw and reunited with Tommaso Ciampa, as he made the save when Imperium (Giovanni Vinci and Ludwig Kaiser) attacked his DIY tag team partner. On the October 9 episode, Vinci, Kaiser, and Gunther blindsided Gargano and Ciampa during an interview and left them lying following a vicious beatdown.

Gargano faced Kaiser in a singles match on the October 16 episode of WWE Raw. While Kaiser had Vinci in his corner, Gargano came out by himself for the match. The commentary team noted that Ciampa was not at ringside because he was not medically cleared to compete. Additional details were not provided.

Kaiser and Vinci capitalized on the situation, and Giovanni interfered, and the distraction helped Kaiser clinch the victory.

The match marked Gargano’s first time competing on WWE Raw since May 15, though he has competed at a few live events since then.

Ciampa last wrestled on the October 2 episode of WWE Raw, where he unsuccessfully challenged Gunther for the WWE Intercontinental Championship. Fightful will provide more information as it becomes available.
