SANADA To Defend IWGP World Heavyweight Title Against Tetsuya Naito At NJPW Wrestle Kingdom 18
The main event is set for NJPW Wrestle Kingdom 18.
SANADA will defend his IWGP World Heavyweight Title against Tetsuya Naito in the main event of NJPW Wrestle Kingdom 18 on January 4, 2024.
Naito won the G1 Climax to earn his title shot, and had to defend his shot against Jeff Cobb at NJPW Destruction in Kobe on September 24.
SANADA successfully defended his IWGP World Heavyweight Title against EVIL at NJPW Destruction in Ryoku on October 9.
After SANADA’s victory, he was confronted by Naito, making their clash at Wrestle Kingdom official.

SANADA and Naito were previously aligned in Los Ingobernables de Japon before SANADA split to join Just Five Guys.
