IYO SKY Retains WWE Women’s Championship At WWE Fastlane 2023
The WWE Women’s Championship was on the line in a Triple Threat Match at WWE Fastlane.
The event saw IYO SKY defend her Championship against both Asuka and Charlotte Flair thanks to Bayley accepting the challenge on her behalf. Prior to coming out this evening, however, SKY told Bayley to stay in the back, wanting to handle her business on her own.
Bayley couldn’t help herself, though, coming to ringside towards the end of the bout, almost costing IYO her title with an ill-timed distraction. She would make it up, though, distracting the referee while Charlotte had Asuka in a Figure Eight, allowing IYO to hit an Over-The-Moonsault on The Queen for the pin and win.
SKY, who has been champion since cashing in her Money in the Bank briefcase at Summerslam, would celebrate with Bayley and Dakota Kai after the bell.
