AEW Collision (10/7/2023) Results: Adam Copeland Speaks, Two Title Matches, Bryan Danielson Competes

Results for the 10/7/2023 edition of AEW Collision.

On October 7, 2023, All Elite Wrestling hosted a new episode of AEW Rampage on TNT.

The show was headlined by Bryan Danielson facing Kyle Fletcher & with FTR defending the AEW Tag Titles against Big Bill & Ricky Starks. The full results are listed below.

AEW Collision (10/7/2023).

  • Bryan Danielson, Kyle Fletcher, Big Bill, Ricky Starks, ROH World Champion Eddie Kingston & AEW Tag Team Champions FTR (Dax Hardwood & Cash Wheeler) opened the show with promos on the cold open. Ian Riccaboni & Nigel McGuiness welcomed the audience to the main broadcast before transitioning into the opening match. 
  • AEW World Tag Team Championship Match: Ricky Starks & Big Bill def. FTR (Dax Hardwood &Cash Wheeler)/ NEW CHAMPION!.
    • In the final parts of the quick match, Big Bill hit a chokeslam on Wheeler into the broadcast table. Back in the ring, Big Bill hit four Chokeslams on Hardwood before Starks tagged in and hit a Spear on Hardwood for the pinfall win.
  • Bryan Danielson def. Kyle Fletcher.
    • In the last part of the match, Fletcher hit an Avalanche Reverse Suplex before locking in a Dragon Sleeper on Danielson, but Danielson reversed it with the European Clutch for the win. After the match, The Mogul Embassy’s Kaun & Toa Linoa attacked Danielson on behalf of Swerve Strickland but Wheeler Yuta & Claudio Castagnoli made the save for The American Dragon.
  • Big Bill & Ricky Starks were interviewed backstage after their title win against FTR earlier in the night, where Starks stated that he & Bill were now the Top Dogs of AEW and demanded the tag division to put respect on their names.
  • Bullet Club Gold (Colten Gunn, Austin Gunn & “ROCK HARD” Juice Robinson) (w/ Jay White) def. Metalik, Angelico & Gravity.
    • After the match, Jay White bragged about Bullet Club Gold’s success & about White stealing MJF’s AEW World Title. White called out “Hangman” Adam Page and promised to beat him on AEW Dynamite: Title Tuesday.
  • Nick Wayne cut a promo addressing him betraying Darby Allin on AEW WrestleDream, saying that he wanted to get back at Allin for all the years he felt him by himself. Wayne ended his remarks by saying that joining Christian Cage made him realize Cage was the father figure he always needed. 
  • Iron Savages (Bronson, Boulder & Jacked Jameson) cut a promo before their match, where they promised to beat The Acclaimed before stating the following: “We’re gonna flex, fight & EAT THAT ASS”. 
  • AEW World Trios Championship – Open Challenge Match: “Daddy Ass” Billy Gunn & The Acclaimed (Max Caster & Anthony Bowens) (c) vs. Iron Savages (Bronson, Boulder & Jacked Jameson).
  • There was a vignette of “Timeless” Toni Storm ahead of her match against Kiera Hogan later in the night.
  • There was a video recap of Keith Lee & Shane Taylor. Keith Lee applauded Taylor’s arrogance but stated that he would drop Taylor.
  • “Timeless” Toni Storm def. Kiera Hogan.
  • Ruby Soho was interviewed backstage, where she stated that she would have faced Saraya if it wasn’t for Hikaru Shida knocking out the referee before stating that she would be at ringside for Saraya’s title bout; however, Renee Paquette informed Soho that she was banned from Ringside for the match at AEW Dynamite Title Tuesday.
  • ROH World Heavyweight Championship Match: Eddie Kingston (c) def. Komander.
    • Jim Ross joined Nigel McGuiness & Ian Riccaboni on the broadcast team for the match.
  • Adam Copeland came to the ring to cut a promo. Copeland stated that he arrived at AEW to team Christian Cage, which is why Cage telling him to “screw himself” bamboozled him. Copeland said that Cage was in his James Bond Villain phase, but still admitted that was confused as to why Christian was not taking his calls. 
    Cage responded with a promo on the titantron, saying that he comes & goes as he pleases before stating that Copeland would not get an answer on AEW Dynamite Title Tuesday… if he can make it. After that promo, Nick Wayne & Luchasaurus circled the ring to attack Copeland. Copeland hit a Shoulder Block on Luchasaurus before hitting the Edge-ecution, but Luchasaurus attacked him with a Chokeslam and a Back Lariat. 
    Luchasaurus & Wayne got two chairs and tried to hit Copeland with the Conchairto, but Darby Allin came to the ring to make the save, attacking Luchasaurus with a chair. Allin was about to hit Wayne with the chair but got caught with a Shotgun Dropkick from Wayne. Wayne then hit the Conchairto on Allin’s injured arm to end the broadcast.
