Kevin Sullivan Comments On Adam Copeland (Edge) Making His AEW Debut, Fan Concerns About Adam’s Age

Kevin Sullivan remarks on Adam Copeland’s upside in AEW.

Adam Copeland recently signed with AEW, marking the first time since 1998 that he will be appearing on television programming for another promotion outside of WWE. In one of Copeland’s only appearances for major promotion outside of WWE, he wrestled as Damon Striker against Kevin Sullivan in an enhancement talent match on a January 1996 episode of WCW Pro.

Now, on the latest episode of the Tuesday with the Taskmaster podcast, Sullivan reflected on Copeland’s AEW signing, praising him for his physique.

“I mean, he still looks in incredible shape. To me, maybe I’m turning into a dinosaur, but I like to see guys but look like they’re not the guys that do my lawn,” Sullivan said.

Later, Sullivan commented on a potential match between Copeland and Bryan Danielson. Sullivan, piggybacking off of a comment made by co-host Paul Bromwell regarding negative talk concerning Copeland’s age, stated that he doesn’t believe people will be concerned about Copeland’s age once they see him in action.

“I agree with you 1000%. You think if he wrestles Bryan Danielson people are going to say, while they’re doing this incredible match, ‘Oh, they’re 59 years old,’ Danielson is a little younger than that. That ain’t going to come up because they’re not going to be sitting in their seat. They’re going to be standing, jumping around like fools, like the rest of us,” Sullivan said.

Sullivan recently stated that he would strap the rocket to Bryan Danielson if he was Tony Khan. Read his comments here
