Adam Copeland Doesn’t Want Fans To Apologize For Showing Emotion
Adam Copeland arrived in All Elite Wrestling on Sunday, October 1 at AEW WrestleDream.
Copeland had been with WWE for the last 25 years, but he wrestled his last match for the company in August and his contract expired in September.
Many fans were excited and emotional to see Copeland in a new environment and back alongside, even as enemies, Christian Cage, his longtime tag team partner and best friend.
Tag Talk Legend Auntie Collins was in attendance for AEW WrestleDream and posted the following video.

While most fans loved the emotion, the internet being the internet, drew a detractor. Collins responded to the detractor, and got some back up from Copeland, who wrote, “Well now I know you exist and thank you for showing emotion. Never apologize for being moved by something. Whatever that is. You rock. Thanks for comin on the ride with me.”

In a statement posted after his AEW debut, Copeland wrote about fans who try to divide AEW and WWE and have tribalistic wars. He wrote, I don’t buy into this odd mentality of one company or the other. It’s weird. If you took offense to that, take a walk, get some fresh air and soak up some sunshine. It’s wrestling. An amazing gig. But still, it’s wrestling. Relax. It’s supposed to be fun. And it’s just a segment of the fans, not most fans, and definitely not the performers. Within the industry we all know that more choices is better for everyone and pushes us all to be better. As a wrestling fan, which I still am, it’s exciting that there’s viable companies providing wrestling on national and worldwide platforms. If you’re actually a fan of wrestling, and not acronyms, that should make you happy too.”
