Jeff Jarrett: I’m Excited To See Where Adam Copeland’s Journey Takes Him In AEW
Jeff Jarrett comments on Adam Copeland joining AEW.
Very few in the wrestling industry have been linked to Adam Copeland for as long as Jeff Jarrett. Jarrett was there when Copeland (Edge in WWE) made his WWE TV debut in 1998, he wrestled Copeland on the premiere episode of Sunday Night Heat, and lost the WWE Intercontinental Title to Copeland at a house show in 1999, marking Copeland’s first title victory in WWE.
On October 1, Copeland officially left WWE and joined AEW, making his debut at AEW WrestleDream debut.
Speaking on his My World podcast, Jarrett commented on Copeland joining AEW.
“I know Adam well enough, and knew him…I can’t say day one, but day one in WWE. He has a passion about it. You look back over his career and the neck deal, he retired, he was off the mat for that time. Since then, he’s come back, and there is a whole slew of directions it could go. As a fan, which is me first and foremost, I’m excited to see where Adam Copeland’s journey takes him in AEW,” said Jarrett.
Jarrett noted that he wasn’t at AEW WrestleDream, but he was watching from home and he and his son popped for Edge’s arrival.
