Matt Hardy Thinks The Rock vs. Roman Reigns Will Happen
Matt Hardy weighs in on The Rock vs. Roman Reigns.
The Rock made headlines in the wrestling world on September 15, not only appearing on WWE SmackDown, but saying that he was “locked” to face Roman Reigns at WrestleMania 39. The match didn’t happened, but Rock left the door open to possibly compete at WrestleMania 40.
On an Xtreme Life of Matt Hardy episode dedicated to The Rock, Matt Hardy gave his thoughts on the potential bout.
“It’s a huge match. It’s huge, and I think it would lead to a very successful WrestleMania,” he said.
When asked if he feel s the bout will happen, Matt replied, “I do. I feel like now that Rocky has been speaking about it and saying it was almost greenlit for last year, and now they might do it this year… I feel like if he’s even mentioning it in any capacity, that it’s in his mind to do. Yeah, I do think it will happen, and I do think it will be a huge draw. I don’t think the diehard wrestling fans will get the match that they want, but it’s going to be a huge spectacle, one that will have casual fans extremely interested in, and they’re gonna wanna tune in and watch it.”
As part of The Rock’s return on the September 15 episode of WWE SmackDown, Rock confronted and laid out Austin Theory.
It is unknown when Rock will return to WWE TV.
