Jim Ross: I’m Predicting Dolph Ziggler Gets Back In The Game With WWE In A Different Role

Jim Ross thinks Dolph Ziggler ends up back in WWE.

Among the handful of releases made by WWE on September 21, one of the most surprising names cut from the promotion was Dolph Ziggler. Ziggler had been with WWE for nearly two decades and had accomplished nearly all there was to accomplish in WWE, including winning the World Heavyweight Title.

Despite his release, Jim Ross believes that Ziggler could make his way back to the promotion.

“I don’t know that he’s permanently gonna be gone from WWE. I think once the dust settles and you start thinking about roles that he could fill, and there are many, not just wrestling. But I was listening to somebody, maybe it was on Busted Open or something the other day, and they were talking about Dolph, and he might be in line for a role much like Adam Pearce is on Raw. If that’s the case, then he’ll do a great job. Ziggler’s a star. You don’t just cast stars to the side. So I’m predicting that Ziggler gets back in the game with WWE in some role, but a different role than wrestling. He’s a great talker, he’s got a great appearance, he looks good, a smart kid. Always been very respectful to me. He’s a talent, and I don’t think that talents like him come along that often, and knowing how smart Triple H is, they may find a role for Dolph that’s just perfect for him at this point in time in his career. Good guy. He could help a lot of companies, no doubt about it. I know he has other interests too. He enjoys doing his comedy shows and things of that nature. I’m a big Dolph Ziggler fan and I hope that he has nothing but success in his career. He deserves it, he’s earned it, and I’m just excited to see where he’s heading next,” said Ross on his Grilling JR podcast

Ziggler has yet to publicly comment on his WWE departure.

He was being featured in NXT throughout 2022, winning the NXT Championship during his run with the company.

Elsewhere during the podcast, Ross gave an update on his AEW contract. You can find his full comments by clicking here
