Darby Allin and Christian Cage are set to headline AEW WrestleDream.
Darby Allin will continue his heated feud with TNT Champion Christian Cage at AEW WrestleDream; the two stars will clash in a Two Out of Three Falls Match at the pay-per-view.
During the AEW Countdown to WrestleDream, Darby Allin made it clear how much competing in the main event meant to him, as he noted that he has been waiting to be in the main event of an AEW show for a long time. He noted that he never felt good enough, but he felt validated when he held the TNT Championship. Later in the special, Allin vowed to beat Cage in the main event.
“You haven’t seen shit until you wrestle Darby in Seattle. At WrestleDream, in the main event, you are fighting someone that you’ve never seen before,” Allin said.
AEW WrestleDream would mark the first time a TNT Championship match has headlined an AEW pay-per-view.
As of this writing, AEW has yet to confirm that the TNT Championship match is the main event of AEW WrestleDream.
