WWE SmackDown

– A video package highlighted Elton Prince’s road to recovery as he continued his recovery.

– WWE announced that Jey Uso will face Damian Priest on the October 2 episode of WWE Raw.

Dragon Lee appeared in the crowd, and Austin Theory shoved him.

Edge was removed from the opening intro of WWE SmackDown.

– Grayson Waller hosted the Grayson Waller Effect with Bobby Lashley. Lashley says he made a mistake when he picked the Street Profits (Montez Ford and Angelo Dawkins). The duo came out, but Lashley told them that they have to prove themselves if they wanted something from him.

– Rey Mysterio successfully defended the WWE United States Championship against Santos Escobar.

– The Street Profits attacked Santos Escobar and Rey Mysterio. Bobby Lashley came out and applauded. Mysterio later challenged Lashley and the Street Profits to face him and LWO at WWE Fastlane.

– Austin Theory faced Cameron Grimes. Some interference from Grayson Waller helped Theory clinch the win.

– Jimmy Uso, Solo Sikoa, and Paul Heyman came to the ring. Heyman acknowledged Roman Reigns. Uso talked some trash, and Karl Anderson attacked him and Sikoa from behind.

– Jimmy Uso defeated Karl Anderson. Anderson tried to take the fight to Jimmy Uso after the bell, but Solo Sikoa laid him out. Mia Yim came out and slapped Jimmy Uso.

– Charlotte Flair faced Bayley. Before the bell, Charlotte said she would challenge WWE Women’s Champion IYO Sky to a match at WWE Fastlane after she beat Bayley. Charlotte scored the win. Bayley vowed to end Charlotte, and Damage CTRL surrounded her, but Asuka made the save. Bayley announced that SKY will face both Asuka and Flair at WWE Fastlane.

– Jimmy Uso and Solo Sikoa attacked Ashante “Thee” Adonis backstage.

– John Cena said he would fight Jimmy Uso and Solo Sikoa himself. When the duo beat up him, LA Knight made the save and signed the contract to be Cena’s partner at WWE Fastlane.

Michin (Mia Yim) commented on slapping Jimmy Uso.

AEW Rampage

– Jay Lethal confronted Eddie Kingston and criticized him, as he claimed that he was unfit to be ROH World Champion. 

– The Acclaimed (Max Caster & Anthony Bowens) and Billy Gunn successfully defended the AEW World Trios Championship against The Hardys (Matt & Jeff Hardy) and Brother Zay.

Hikaru Shida defeated Ruby Soho to earn a shot at AEW Women’s World Champion Saraya on the October 10 episode of AEW Dynamite.

– Eddie Kingston defeated Rocky Romero to retain the NJPW STRONG Openweight Championship. Katsuyori Shibata confronted him after the bell.

Two matches have been announced for AEW WrestleDream: Zero Hour.

– Aussie Open (Kyle Fletcher and Mark Davis) hyped up their match against FTR (Cash Wheeler and Dax Harwood).

– Andrade El Idolo commented on his loss to Jay White and looked forward to his match against Juice Robinson.

– The Righteous (Vincent and Dutch) scored a dominant win against Caleb Crush and Gunnar.

– A video package highlighted the history between Santana and Mike Ortiz.

– Nick Wayne challenged Luchasaurus to a match at AEW WrestleDream: Zero Hour.

– Zack Sabre Jr. discussed his match with Bryan Danielson at AEW WrestleDream.

– Tony Khan expressed his excitement about AEW WrestleDream.

A Julia Hart match was announced for the September 30 episode of AEW Collision.
