MJF Believes Paul Lo Duca And Mike Piazza Would Have Made Good Pro Wrestlers

Maxwell Jacob Friedman comments on which former New York Mets he believes would make good pro wrestlers.

Crossover athletes have always been a huge part of professional wrestling. Typically, stories are told of football players crossing over from the gridiron into the squared circle, but Randy Savage is a good example of someone who almost had a career in baseball before going on to become one of the greatest wrestling superstars of all time.

Maxwell Jacob Friedman is a very proud to have the New York Mets and recently sat down for an interview on the baseball team’s YouTube channel. During the interview, Max was asked about which former New York Mets he believes would have successfully crossed over into the ring.

Max named Mike Piazza and Paul Lo Duca as his choices, praising the men for their physique before ultimately saying that all catchers would make good pro wrestlers.

“You know, if I had played baseball, the answer would be yes. But outside of that, if you’re asking me a Met that would have been a good wrestler? Paul Lo Duca was a pretty thick boy. He was a little bulldog. He was pretty thick around the arms, the chest, and the shoulders. So that’s my answer, Paul Lo Duca. Mike Piazza, too, obviously. Another thick, handsome man. Catchers, man. I’d say most catchers [would probably be pretty good wrestlers.]”

There were shockingly no discussions of crossover star Abe “Knuckleball” Schwartz

Maxwell picked up a victory in Queens, New York, living up to his promise and choking out Samoa Joe at AEW Dynamite: Grand Slam to retain his AEW World Title. Learn more at this link.

In present-day, the New York Mets are struggling to pick up a win in a series with the Philadelphia Phillies. The next game will take place on September 24 at 6:05 p.m.
