AEW Collision (9/23/2023).

  • TNT Championship Match: Christian Cage def. Luchasaurus (c) & Darby Allin/ NEW TNT CHAMPION!
  • Darby Allin, Christian Cage, Luchasaurus, Ricky Starks & Bryan Danielson appeared on the Cold Open of the show to cut promos before transitioning into the opening contest. 
  • The Don Callis Family (Don Callis, Sammy Guevara & Konosuke Takeshita) were interviewed by Alex Marvez backstage to address the challenge from Kota Ibushi, Kenny Omega & Chris Jericho. Callis said that Kota Ibushi’s only weakness was Kenny Omega before revealing that Will Ospreay would be a part of Team Callis on WrestleDream. 
  • Tony Schiavone interviewed Luchasaurus & the newly crowned TNT Champion Christian Cage backstage. Cage dedicated his win to Nick Wayne’s mom & dad before saying he was finally done with Darby Allin; however, Schiavone revealed that AEW President Tony Khan booked a 2/3 Falls Match for the TNT Championship, pitting Cage against Allin at WrestleDream. Cage ran out of the interview to look for Khan.
  • Rob Van Dam & HOOK def. Angelo Parker & Matt Menard (w/ Anna Jay & Jake Hager).
  • There was a video package recapping Eddie Kingston beating Claudio Castagnoli in Grand Slam to become the new ROH World Champion. Kingston will defend both his ROH World Title & his NJPW Strong Openweight Title against Katsuyori Shibata at AEW WrestleDream.
  • There was a vignette of Dark Order (Evil Uno, Alex Reynolds & John Silver). 
  • The Kingdom (Mike Bennett & Matt Taven) called out Best Friends (Chuck Taylor & Trent Beretta) to a match next week due to their lack of support for Neck Health Awareness Month. Bennett promised to punch everyone against Neck Health in the weiner. 
  • Julia Hart (w/ Brody King) def. Kiera Hogan.
    • After the match, Julia Hart continued to attack Kiera Hogan. Skye Blue tried to make the save, but Hart spat the Black Mist at Blue’s face. Hart then challenged TBS Champion Kris Statlander to a title match at WrestleDream.
  • The Righteous (Vincent & Dutch) were in a vignette calling out ROH Tag Team Champions MJF & Adam Cole ahead of their match at WrestleDream. The Righteous promised to expose MJF & Cole and win the belts.
  • Jay White (w/ Austin Gunn, Colten Gunn & “ROCK HARD” Juice Robinson) def. Andrade El Idolo.
    • In the final stages of the match, Andrade locked in the Figure Eight on White. Due The Gunns distracting the referee, Juice Robinson came to the ring and swung a plaque on Andrade’s face. This attack allowed White to pick Andrade up and hit the Blade Runner for the win.
  • Ortiz had a video package calling out Mike Satana, saying that Santana ran from his problems as always. Ortiz then stated that Santana would not be able to run from his issues much longer. 
  • Shane Taylor Promotions (Shane Taylor & Lee Moriarty) were backstage calling out Keith Lee. Taylor said that while Lee was being “limitless” in WWE, he became a legend in ROH. Taylor said that Keith Lee will face Lee Moriarty next week. 
  • AEW Tag Team Championship – Open Challenge: FTR (Dax Harwood & Cash Wheeler) (c) def. The WorkHorsemen (JD Drake & Anthony Henry).
    • Aussie Open (Kyle Fletcher & Mark Davis) joined the broadcast team for the match. After the match, Aussie Open confronted FTR and said that needed to prove that they are one of the top teams in Wrestling. Dax then responded by begging Aussie Open to bring the badest tag team back to WrestleDream before saying to stay home if they were not going to bring the dawg. 
  • “Hot & Flexible” CJ Perry was interviewed backstage by Lexy Nair. Perry said that she was back to help her husband. Miro confronted Perry and said that while Miro’s obsession was Perry, Perry’s obsession was the spotlight. Perry asked Miro to attack any of her future clients, but Miro left instead of answering.
  • Texas Death Match: Bryan Danielson def. Ricky Starks.
