For the majority of Sammy Guevaras’s time in AEW, he was allies with Chris Jericho. They were stablemates in both The Inner Circle and in the Jericho Appreciation Society. Tensions between the two stars rose following AEW All In, and they agreed to face each other at AEW Dynamite: Grand Slam.

The build to the match referenced the time when Guevara sang Jericho’s theme song, “Judas” by Fozzy, and got the words wrong. At AEW Dynamite: Grand Slam, Guevara lost to Jericho in a singles match. He then betrayed the former AEW World Champion by kicking him below the belt and aligning with Don Callis.

Guevara took to social media on September 22 and shared a clip in which he seemingly sings along while listening to “Judas”. The clip ends with Guevara laughing, so he may have been trying to send Jericho in a message. In the post, Guevara noted that he is learning the lyrics, and the song is “pretty good.”

One could say that Guevara is cold like December show, and he is now losing the light as he is encircled by a “demon” in Callis. Fans will have to wait and see whether the steps Guevara has taken will haunt him and if the guilt winds up being a heavy cross.

Guevara will speak on the September 22 episode of AEW Rampage. Check out the card here. Fightful will have coverage of the show as it airs.
