Alex Shelley To Defend IMPACT World Title Against Josh Alexander At IMPACT Bound For Glory

Josh Alexander gets his match.

Alex Shelley will defend his IMPACT World Title against Josh Alexander at IMPACT Bound For Glory on October 21.

The bout was agreed to at IMPACT 1000 night two.

Alexander solidified himself as the number one contender at IMPACT Victory Road when he defeated Steve Maclin. Alexander never lost the IMPACT World Title, being forced to relinquish it due to injury ahead of IMPACT Rebellion. Maclin won the vacant title by defeating KUSHIDA, and then lost the title to Shelley at IMPACT Against All Odds.

At night two of IMPACT 1000, Shelley helped Alexander in his match against Trey Miguel. After the match, Alexander told Shelley he would be taking back the IMPACT World Title and he would do it at IMPACT Bound For Glory.

The bout was made official later in the night.
