Endeavor CEO Ari Emanuel On Elon Musk vs. Mark Zuckerberg: It’s Probably Best It Doesn’t Happen

Ari Emanuel doesn’t think the fight between Elon Musk and Mark Zuckerberg will happen.

In June, Elon Musk and Mark Zuckerberg agreed to fight each other in a cage. At the time, UFC President Dana White claimed to TMZ that they were serious. Both NWA and AAA have offered to host the fight, and Musk later said he chose WWE as his fighting style. However, in August, Zuckerberg said it was time to move on, and there have been few updates since.

Speaking on CNBC’s Squawk on the Street, Endeavor CEO Ari Emanuel was asked whether he thinks the fight will happen.

“I don’t think that’s happening. No. I did [think it was happening at first]. I’m not really sure [what happened]. I think Elon had a couple surgeries on his shoulder. Remember, he’s had a couple surgeries on his neck. It’s probably best it doesn’t happen,” Emanuel said.

Endeavor President and COO Mark Shapiro chimed in by noting that the shirts Dana White had made for the fight were now collectors’ items.

“Collector’s item are the t-shirts that Dana White had done up. He had some t-shirts done up as if the right was going to happen. We have a couple of them. Soon to be on eBay,” Shapiro said.

It’s unclear whether Musk and Zuckerberg will reach a deal for their fight. However, the deal between WWE and Endeavor has officially closed, as UFC and WWE have merged to form TKO. More information is available here.
