Cathy Kelley Rules Out The Possibility Of Wrestling In The Future, Recalls Taking Her First Bump
Cathy Kelley won’t be stepping inside the squared circle any time soon.
Kelley, who returned to WWE in October 2022, currently serves a backstage correspondent for the SmackDown brand.
During her first run with the company, Kelley served in the same role for the NXT brand, while also being an essential member of WWE’s digital team.
In a new interview with Chris Van Vliet, Kelley was asked about potentially getting in the ring one day, to which she noted that will likely never happen.
“I don’t think so. I did try once, back in the day. Dave Marquez has a wrestling ring for Championship Wrestling For Hollywood up in the valley, so I’d go there. I think I took one or two bumps until I knocked the wind out myself. Even running the ropes, if you haven’t done it, it’s intense. You end up building up calluses on your back, I was bruised for probably a week.”
