Sky took to Twitter on September 8 and announced that she will no longer be a part of the NWA going forward. She thanked NWA President Billy Corgan for the opportunity. Sky also thanked everyone she worked with and stated that she learned a lot from Joe Galli and Tim Storm on commentary.
Sky also wished the NWA her best and said she would see everyone down the road.
Going forward, I will no longer be a part of the @NWA.
I wanna thank Billy for the opportunity, & thank you to each person I worked with as it was so much fun & I learned so much from Joe & Tim on commentary.
I wish the NWA my best with everything.
See you all down the road.— Velvet Sky (@VelVelHoller) September 8, 2023
The reasoning for Sky’s departure is unclear, as further details were not provided.
Sky previously had a prominent run with TNA/IMPACT Wrestling, where she won the Knockouts Championship twice. She made her NWA debut on March 23, 2021, as she joined the commentary team, and she had been with the company ever since.
Sky has been announced for IMPACT 1000. More information is available here.
