Dutch comments on the rumors surrounding the Wyatt 6.

In December 2022, Vincent and Dutch, collectively known as The Righteous in Ring of Honor, were reportedly part of the WWE Performance Center tryouts. They were also in the crowd on the December 6 episode of WWE NXT. Some fans speculated that they would be joining the Wyatt 6, a potential stable that would be led by Bray Wyatt. The stable never came to fruition, nd The Righteous returned to ROH in April 2023.

Speaking on Developmentally Speaking, Dutch was asked whether there was any truth to the rumors.

“I don’t know if we’ll ever know, but definitely seemed like it was leading in that direction. I think it would have been great. We were down in NXT for a week or so back in December. Yeah, the ball seemed to be rolling at the time. It kind of just got stopped for whatever reason. Maybe it was the illness that he had, whatever, I’m not 100% sure. I don’t know if we’ll ever know, but it was definitely a possibility,” Dutch said.

When asked whether Wyatt was okay with it and if the group was his idea, Dutch noted that they talked, and ideas were being thrown around. He stated that the buzz the Wyatt 6 generated led to him landing with AEW, and he expressed his gratitude to Wyatt.

“Oh yeah, we talked a lot about having ideas and stuff like that. Never came to fruition, but the ideas and stuff, it was being thrown around. I don’t think that I would be in the position that I am now with AEW if it wasn’t for him. We created that buzz on social media for X amount of months, and whether it happened or not, everything happens for a reason. So I wouldn’t be here if it wasn’t for him right now,” Dutch said.

Wyatt passed away on August 25, and the wrestling world continues to mourn him.

During the interview, Dutch also confirmed that The Righteous is signed to AEW. Click here to see what he had to say.

On the August 18 episode of AEW Rampage, The Righteous said they are coming to AEW. They then competed on the September 1 episode.
