Gunther is set to make history.
In the main event of the September 4 edition of WWE Raw, Gunther defeated Gable in the duo’s third televised singles match. Gable threw everything he had at the champion, and he fought with the heart of a warrior. He hit Gunther with the Chaos Theory, and he nearly scored the win with an ankle lock.
But “The Ring General” overpowered him. He trapped Gable in a sleeper hold and took control in the closing stages. Gunther then clinched the win with a thunderous powerbomb and a lariat.
