The Rock And Oprah Announce ‘People’s Fund Of Maui,’ Give $10 Million Donation
The Rock and Oprah are giving back.
The Rock (Dwayne Johnson) and Oprah announced the launch of “The People’s Fund of Maui” to help Lahaina residents who were affected by the recent wildfires. 100% of donations will go to Lahaina residents.
Rock and Oprah have already donated $10 million to start the campaign.
Anyone who is 18 or older who lives in the affected area and was displaced by the wildfires that ravaged the areas of Lahaina and Kula on the island of Maui can receive $1,200 each month to help assist them as they get back on their feet.

The Maui wildfires have become the deadliest wildfires in modern America history with 115 people dying according to the police.
The Rock previously gave a “historic donation” to the SAG-AFTRA Foundation Relief Fund.
