On Saturday, August 26 UFC Lightweight Champion Conor McGregor is facing Floyd Mayweather in a boxing super fight for the ages.
If your business would like to be the title sponsor for the super fight, then be prepared to fork over at least $10 million for the honor. This is according to a report from ESPN.
WME-IMG, who owns the UFC, has started sending out proposals to a variety of companies to gauge interest in being a title sponsor.
History could be made if companies do fork over the $10 million for the fight, because the previous title sponsor record amount was $5.6 million for Floyd Mayweather versus Manny Pacquiao.
For that lush $10 million, the winning company would get its logo in the center of the ring, their logo would be worn by the ring card girls, the ring ropes would have the company logo on it and the two non-fighter corners will get logos as well.
There is more a company could get for that $10 million as well, including the mention of your company during the live broadcast, which would take place within the first minute of every round. Also, $500,000 in tickets for the fight.
Since $10 million may be to steep for some, there is also a $5 million sponsorship deal that companies can go for as well.
That deal includes signage in one of the fighters corner, signage on the corner cam during the broadcast and $250,000 in tickets.
Conor McGregor versus Floyd Mayweather takes place on Saturday, August 26 from the T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas, Nevada. Fightful is providing live coverage of the event, with a post-show podcast to follow.
