Adam Cole Reflects On Interactions He Had With Edge When He Was An NXT Superstar

Adam Cole has nothing but positive experiences with “The Rated R Superstar” Edge.

Although Adam Cole and Edge have never had a singles match with one another, Cole was on top of WWE NXT when Edge made his shocking comeback to the squared circle in 2020 at the WWE Royal Rumble.

During a recent appearance on the Superstar Crossover Podcast with Z100’s Josh Martinez, Adam Cole reflected on Edge coming down to NXT to help pass along his knowledge during Adam’s time with the Black and Gold brand.

“I did [have some interactions with Edge], and every single one of them [was] wonderful,” Cole said. “So when I worked for NXT, there were some times where he would come down and talk to a group of us, give his input, give his mindset on things. So yeah, he’s a wonderful, wonderful guy, and every experience I had with him was very positive.”

Edge recently had the final match on his WWE contract against Sheamus on the August 18 episode of WWE Friday Night SmackDown. While he did not confirm whether it was his last match ever, he did tell the crowd in Toronto that it would be his last match in front of his hometown crowd. Read more here.
