Aron Stevens speaks highly of Tim Storm for his personality and his tan.

Storm, 59, debuted in 1995. He has had a prominent run in NWA over the last several years. During his time with the company, he has held the NWA Worlds Heavyweight Championship and the NWA North American Heavyweight Championship. More recently, Storm has worked as a color commentator on NWA programming, but he will face longtime rival Jax Dane at NWA 75.

In an interview with Fightful’s Sean Ross Sapp, Stevens shared his thoughts on Tim Storm. He called the veteran one of his closest friends in the business, and he also complimented Storm’s tan.

“Because Tim is endearing. That’s the thing. Tim is one of my closest friends in the business, by the way, now. Very blessed to call him a friend. Before I met him, I would keep up with NWA. There was Instagram and they did a good job of telling their story of Ten Pounds of Gold. I was just like, ‘This guy, Tim, there’s just something about him that is endearing.’ Because it’s honest. He told his story. He looks the part. Tim’s a solid guy. I wouldn’t want to try him. He looks the part. He understands who he is and he just is. He has the best tan in the business by far,” Stevens said.

Stevens elaborated by describing how Storm has a good base tan, and he tans more for shows. he then stated that Storm is consistent with his tanning. Stevens described how Storm reigns supreme in a tanning competition in the locker room, and he will likely have the best tan at NWA 75.

“Apparently he has a good base tan and he got his base tan, when it comes for shows, he’ll tan a little more. But the thing about Tim, he’s consistent with it, which is the thing. There’s have been times where Thom Latimer has walked in, like when Tim’s not there—it’s like perspective. You know how like everyone’s teeth looks white until you put them against something white? Well, it’s the same thing. Thom has walked into the locker room and we’re all going, ‘Ooh, wait a minute.’ ‘Cause there’s a tan competition that we all take part in. It’s like, I’m not in the running. Neither is Trevor or Tyrus. But it felt like someone will come in tanned and try to challenge Tim. I forget where this was. Might have been Nashville, but Thom Latimer comes walking in and we’re like, ‘Uh-oh. You may have Tim.’ They were taking pictures earlier and he had this silver gear on, so he looked even tanner and we’re going, ‘Ooh, this is gonna be a first,’ right? Tim came walking in, in his blue or purple suit jacket, and there’s Thom, oiled up, greased up with the silver—and he stood next to Tim, and Tim still had him. I will say this—at 75, he will probably still have the better tan than any one of us,” Stevens said.

Stevens previously stated that NWA has philosophically maintained what is good about wrestling in North America. Click here to see what he had to say.

NWA 75 will air on FITE on August 26 and 27. Fightful will have live coverage of the show as it airs.
