Here is your post-Monday Night Raw fight size update for August 14, 2023.

– Cody Rhodes faced Finn Balor. Dominik Mysterio and Rhea Ripley came to ringside and helped Balor take control. Rhodes rallied and gained the upper hand. Damian Priest came to ringside. Balor tried to use a chair, but the referee stopped him. Ripley distracted the referee. Priest slid his briefcase into the ring, but Rhodes grabbed it, hit Balor, and pinned him with the Crossrhodes. Dominik attacked Rhodes after the bell. Sami Zayn made the save, but JD McDonagh came down and helped The Judgment Day leave Zayn and Rhodes laid out.

– Indi Hartwell faced WWE Women’s World Champion Rhea Ripley. Candice LeRae accompanied Hartwell to the match, and Ripley attacked her. Ripley defeated Hartwell to score the decisive win. LeRae attacked Ripley after the match. Hartwell and LeRae double-teamed her and ran away. 

– In an interview, Drew McIntyre was asked about his future. Matt Riddle interrupted and pitched him with an idea for a tag team. McIntyre said he would consider it. Riddle then faced the Viking Raiders (Erik and Ivar). Riddle initially came to the ring by himself. McIntyre joined him before the match started. They went on to defeat the Viking Raiders.

– Adam Pearce spoke with Chelsea Green backstage. She said she worked too hard for the titles to throw them away. Green vowed to call human resources. Piper Niven showed up and told Green she was her new partner.

– WWE World Heavyweight Champion Seth Rollins agreed to give Shinsuke Nakamura a title shot. Nakamura whispered something in his ear, and it clearly attacked him. The challenger then attacked Rollins.

– Trish Stratus faced Becky Lynch in a heated grudge match. Stratus lost her face covering during the match. The WWE Hall of Famer tried to run away into the crowd, but Lynch stopped her. Both women got counted out, and they brawled in the crowd. They kept fighting all the way to the concourse area. Zoey Stark attacked Lynch. Stratus dropped Becky with a chick kick.

– Adam Pearce confronted Trish Stratus and Zoey Stark. He said Stratus would face Becky Lynch in a Steel Cage Match.

– WWE Intercontinental Champion Gunther addressed his next contender, Chad Gable. He stated that he had achieved more than Gable ever had. Gable, accompanied by Otis and Maxxine Dupri, interrupted. Ludwig Kaiser insulted Otis and Alpha Academy. He then told Dupri he could save her from becoming an absolute embarrassment with the group. She slapped him.

– The Judgment Day ( Damian Priest, Dominik Mysterio, Rhea Ripley) admitted that they were having issues, but they still dictated what happened on the red brand. Priest took issue with the fact that Finn Balor wasn’t out there with them. JD McDonagh came out and shared a message on Balor’s behalf. He told the group to focus on the real targets. Ripley told McDonagh to tell Balor that they needed to talk. Sami Zayn interrupted and brawled with McDonagh. McDonagh targeted Zayn’s injured arm.

– Sami Zayn faced JD McDonagh. They battled in a hard-fought bout, and Finn Balor came down to distract Zayn. Zayn persevered and pinned McDonagh. 

– Chad Gable took on Giovanni Vinci and picked up the hard-fought win. After the bell, Gunther challenged Otis to a match.

– WWE Intercontinental Champion Gunther defeated Otis.

– Matt Riddle made it clear that he wanted to chase the tag team titles with Drew McIntyre, who told him to pump the brakes. The New Day (Kofi Kingston and Xavier Woods) challenged them to a match, and Riddle accepted.

– The Miz vowed to beat someone better than LA Knight has ever faced. He also teased showing up on WWE SmackDown.

– Piper Niven briefly shared her thoughts after her return.

– On Raw Talk, Chad Gable looked forward to his match with Gunther.
