Josh Woods Leaves Varsity Athletes, Will Face Silas Young On 8/17 ROH On HonorClub

Josh Woods wants to get serious, and on August 17, he faces “The Last Real Man.”

Josh Woods has had it with group training and maintained his stance from the August 3 episode of ROH TV that something needs to change after he fell short against ROH Pure Champion Katsuyori Shibata.

In a face-to-face with his manager Mark Sterling on August 10, Woods said he was done with the Varsity Athletes in an effort not to lose one of his clients. Sterling agreed that he should go solo but should not be without him.

Sterling told Josh Woods that he would not be a part of the Varsity Athletes and the group training sessions anymore, but he would get him in front of top-tier talent, starting on August 17 when he wrestles a former partner of his in Ring of Honor, Silas Young.

Woods agreed and then went on his way.
