Von Wagner Tables Bron Breakker, Schism Hunts For The Creed Brothers | NXT Fight Size

Here’s your Fight Size update following WWE NXT on August 8, 2023.

– Bron Breakker defeated Von Wagner in a singles match, but when the former NXT Champion tried to attack Mr. Stone, Wagner took the fight to him and slammed him through the broadcast table.

–  Several superstars were found attacked backstage. Schism was standing over them, and Joe Gacy vowed to do whatever he had to in order to find The Creed Brothers (Julius & Brutus Creed). Later in the show, Ivy Nile clashed with Kiana James-Schism came to the ring and surrounded the apron. They beat on the ring and chanted for the Creed Brothers. Schism grabbed Nile after the match, and Tony D’Angelo and Channing “Stacks” Lorenzo made the save.

Rey Mysterio accompanied Dragon Lee to the ring for his title match against NXT North American Champion Dominik Mysterio Rhea  Ripley helped Dominik emerge victorious, as she hit Lee with her WWE Women’s World Championship. Rey confronted them after the match. Lyra Valkyria ran in and took the fight to Ripley. Lee, Rey, and Valkyria stood tall.

– Mustafa Ali faced Axiom. SCRYPTS, Bronco Nima, and Lucien Price came out during the match. Ali scored the win in a hard-fought match. After the bell, Ali stated that he was next in line for the NXT North American Championship. He announced that he was starting a campaign to earn a shot at the gold.

Trick Williams and Ilja Dragunov agreed to face each other at NXT Heatwave.

Tyler Bate won Noam Dar’s NXT Heritage Cup Championship but later handed it back, as Nathan Frazer and Dar agreed to a match for the actual Heritage Cup.

– Kelani Jordan took on Blair Davenport, and the former NXT UK star scored the win. Dana Brooke tried to hit Davenport with a belt, but Blair escaped. Brooke later gave Kelani Jordan some tough love about how she needed to find her killer instinct. Brooke told her she would show her what her killer instinct needed to look like.

– Tank Ledger said he wanted to name his team with Hank Walker Smash Mouth. Schism (Joe Gacy, Jagger Reid, Rip Folwer, and Ava)  attacked them

– Dijak confronted NXT Champion Carmelo Hayes and made it clear that he wanted a title shot. Wes Lee interrupted. They went back and forth, and Dijak attacked Lee.

– Charlie Dempsey and Drew Gulak were interviewed, and Gulak called Tank Ledger and Hak Walker soft for being unable to compete. Dempsey called other members of the roster. Damon Kemp approached and told them he was tough. Josh Briggs and Brooks Jensen challenged them to a match. Kemp interfered and helped Dempsey and Gulak win.

– Rey Mysterio gave Roxanne Perez and Thea Hail advice backstage. Hail snapped when Andre Chase approached her, and it was clear that she was upset he threw in the towel.

– A vignette highlighted Eddy Thorpe and his heritage.

– Schism interrupted a photo shoot for NXT Tag Team Champions Tony D’Angelo and Channing “Stacks” Lorenzo. Tensions rose, and The Dyad made it clear that they were interested in the titles. Joe Gacy told them to stay on task.

– Angel Garza texted Humberto Carrillo, who said things had to change. Carrillo said they were a joke and emphasized the way his grandfather shaped their careers. Carrillo wrote that they were embarrassing him, and Garza replied that they should be honoring him. 

– NXT Women’s Champion Tiffany Stratton said she went on a shopping spree because she deserved it. She continued to talk about her wardrobe and stated that her next opponent was “no one.”

– NXT North American Champion “Dirty” Dominik Mysterio discussed his win in an NXT Digital Exclusive. Rhea Ripley got fired up about Lyra Valkyria.

– In an NXT Digital Exclusive, Von Wagner, alongside Mr. Stone, shared his thoughts after he slammed Bron Breakker.

– The Family (Tony D’Angelo & Channing “Stacks” Lorenzo) looked ahead to their match with The Dyad (Jagger Reid & Rip Fowler) in an NXT Digital Exclusive.

– Thea Hail expressed her excitement after she met Rey Mysterio and talked to him.

– Nathan Frazer poked fun at the sight of himself and Tyler Bate holding the Heritage Cup.

– Vic Joseph commented after his candy went flying when Von Wagner slammed Bron Breakker through a broadcast table.
