Kazuchika Okada Says He Wants To Continue His Story With Kota Ibushi, Ibushi Says ‘There Is More’
The story must continue.
Kazuchika Okada faced Kota Ibushi in the finals of the NJPW G1 Climax 2021. Unfortunately, the bout was stopped early after Ibushi suffered a shoulder injury following a missed phoenix splash. The bout ended up being Ibushi’s last match in NJPW
Ibushi had his first match in Japan since the bout against Okada at GLEAT Ver. Mega on August 4.
Speaking to Tokyo Sports, Okada commented on Ibushi’s return.
“I hope he can wrestle like Ibushi again without injury, and I would like to fight him again somewhere. Of course, I would like to continue the story. I hope we can do it somewhere,” he said while congratulating Ibushi on his return.
Ibushi responded on social media by saying, “There is more. There is definitely. somewhere someday! I haven’t forgotten that promise I made back then.”
