Kazuchika Okada On Losing To Will Ospreay On 7/27: Nothing’s Worse Than Losing To Your Little Bro
Kazuchika Okada talks about losing to Will Ospreay in the G1 Climax 33 Tournament.
Will Ospreay took another significant step in advancing his career as he defeated Kazuchika Okada during the main event of the ninth night of this year’s G1 Climax Tournament.
After the match, Okada spoke about his relationship with Ospreay saying he views him to be a brother and despite their closeness, nobody likes to lose to their little brother.
“Well, losing to Ospreay today is nothing to be ashamed of. But it still burns me up. Even though we fight on different teams, we’re still like brothers, in some ways. Nothing’s worse than losing to your little bro,” Okada said. “Well, I’ve known for years just how strong Ospreay really is. Unfortunately, that’s it for our meeting in the G1 blocks. Ospreay… See you in the finals.”
Ospreay also defeated Kenny Omega earlier this year in a critically acclaimed match at AEW x NJPW Forbidden Door. Fans can read his thoughts on that victory here.
