Joe Rogan Wants Conor McGregor To Head Kick Floyd Mayweather

UFC color commentator Joe Rogan is one of many people who has a lot of interest in the upcoming boxing super fight between UFC Lightweight Champion Conor McGregor and Floyd Mayweather.

When the UFC meets the boxer in the ring, the longtime UFC employee feels that if McGregor were to head kick Mayweather, it would make the fighter a folk hero.

“[If McGregor kicked Mayweather], that would be f**ked up. There’s probably some stipulations in the contract that say, ‘you can’t get him in an armbar or choke him.’ [But] could you imagine? He would be a god damn folk hero. If they got in close and Floyd was shucking and juking on the outside and he threw a jab to cover up a left high kick and that left high kick necks him? Just clang! And you see Floyd go limp – and he would go limp. He’s never been high kicked like that. Jesus, that would be crazy,” Rogan said on The Joe Rogan Experience.

The contract for the upcoming fight has stipulations against McGregor doing anything MMA related when he meets Mayweather.

Rogan ultimately feels that if McGregor where to perform such an illegal act, it would keep MMA fighters from boxing ever again.

“Would it be worth it? It would but it would f**k everything up because no one would ever trust another fighter from MMA to ever fight a boxer in a boxing match again,” says Rogan.

Conor McGregor versus Floyd Mayweather takes place on Saturday, August 26 from the T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas, Nevada. Fightful is providing live coverage of the event, with a post-show podcast to follow.
