Here is your fight size update following AEW Dynamite on July 5, 2023.

– Chris Jericho explained that he felt reinvigorated upon his return to Alberta, and he stated that it was time to make a change. Don Callis asked him whether he would join the Don Callis Family. Jericho responded by telling Callis, “Maybe.”

– In the main event, Kenny Omega defeated Wheeler Yuta. The former ROH Pure Champion was on the verge of victory, especially after Konosuke Takeshita interfered, but Omega clinched the victory. Takeshita and Claudio Castagnoli attacked Omega after the bell, but Hangman Page and the Young Bucks made the save. The trio were then confronted by Dark Order (John Silver, Alex Reynolds, and Evil Uno.)

– Nick Wayne was profiled in a video package ahead of his looming debut.

– MJF and Adam Cole had some teammate bonding time at a gym.

– Orange Cassidy and Darby Allin defeated Keith Lee and Swerve Strickland in a Blind Eliminator Tag Team Tournament Quarterfinal Match.

– AEW World Champion MJF and Adam Cole initially struggled to get on the same page, but they beat Matt Menard and The Blade in a Blind Eliminator Tag Team Tournament Quarterfinal Match.

The lineups for the Blood & Guts match on the July 19 episode of AEW Dynamite were mostly announced.

– RJ City revealed that Matt Hardy will be joining forces with Jeff Jarrett in the Blind Eliminator Tag Team Tournament.

– HOOK attacked “Jungle Boy” Jack Perry as soon as he saw him. Perry escaped HOOK once again.

– The Acclaimed (Anthony Bowens and Max Caster) and Billy Gunn scored the win in trios action against The Blade and the Bollywood Boyz (Gurv and Harv Sihra).

– Thanks to plenty of interference from Saraya and Toni Storm, Ruby Soho defeated Britt Baker and advanced to the next round of the Owen Hart Foundation Women’s Tournament. Her next opponent, Skye Blue, stared her down after the bell.

– Chris Jericho told Daniel Garcia and Sammy Guevara that they were still his family, but they needed to branch out on their own at some point. Guevara and Garcia found out that they were paired up in the Blind Eliminator Tag Team Championship.

– Jon Moxley sent a message to Eddie Kingston, as he commented on the rising tension between them, and he told him to pick up his phone.

– A video package hyped up the upcoming match between CM Punk and Samoa Joe on the July 8 episode of AEW Collision.

– Renee Paquette tried to get an update on Roderick Strong’s condition after Samoa Joe attacked him on the July 1 episode of AEW Collision. The medical trainer noted that Strong was making progress, but they would take as much time to make sure Strong fully recovered.

– MJF led a celebration of Adam Cole’s birthday after their victory, complete with confetti, a cake, and a rousing rendition of the birthday song. MJF’s attempt to shove Cole into the cake backfired, but Cole thanked him for his kindness.
