AEW SVP Nik Sobic Says They Had 100 Ideas For AEW Fight Forever Mini Games
AEW executive says there were at least 100 ideas for mini-games within AEW Fight Forever.
AEW Fight Forever is now available to the general public, and part of the unique charm of the game’s arcade presentation is the inclusion of mini-games. With several mini-games included at launch and more to be made available as part of downloadable content packs, mini-games.
AEW SVP Nik Sobic says there were at least 100 mini-game concepts for the newly-released console video games.
“Not all development meetings are fun, but one of the best and most fun times was the brainstorming meeting for mini-games. We came up with 100 ideas. I pushed so hard for Shida’s slugfest. It made me happy that Adam Cole liked it too. That one was a little controversial, but it’s my favorite. I’m not capable of being unbiased on that. Why mini-games? This game is optimized for couch play. It’s awesome online and has unlimited online features, but I will tell you that the people that worked on this game are gaming nerds that have been playing games their whole lives and miss the couch play experience. Mini-games sort of scratch that itch,” said Sobic on AEW Unrestricted.
AEW Fight Forever was released on Xbox, PlayStation, Switch, and PC on Thursday, June 29. Those who pre-ordered the Elite Edition will have access to extra mini-games upon the release of corresponding DLC packs. Fans can learn more about the Elite Edition by clicking here.
