Here’s your Fight Size update following WWE NXT on June 27, 2023.

– Eddy Thorpe trained with Gable Steveson ahead of his NXT Underground match against Damon Kemp and seemingly applied to accompany him to the ring for the match.

– Gigi Dolin faced Kiana James. James tried to use her purse as a weapon, but Dolin had it scouted, and she got the pin with the crucifix. James attacked Dolin after the match and dumped paint on her.

– Tiffany Stratton defended the NXT Women’s Championship against Thea Hail. Hail made Stratton tap out, but the referee didn’t see it, as Charlie Dempsey was arguing with the official. Stratton then pinned Hail to win the bout. 

– Charlie Dempsey and Drew Gulak attacked Duke Hudson after Hail’s loss to Stratton. Andre Chase made his return and fought Gulak and Dempsey off.

– Carmelo Hayes defended the NXT Championship against Baron Corbin. Though Corbin brought back his “Lone Wolf’ persona, Hayes still emerged victorious.

– WWE Women’s World Champion Rhea Ripley confronted NXT Champion Carmelo Hayes.

– Dragon Lee challenged Nathan Frazer for the NXT Heritage Cup. Axiom and SCRYPTS came to ringside during the bout. Frazer and Lee went back and forth, and in the end, the champion scored a narrow win by stacking Lee up for the three count.-

Gallus defended the NXT Tag Team Championship against Malik Blade and Edris Enofe. Stacks accidentally interfered and took out Enofe. Gallus capitalized and double-teamed Enofe for the win. Angel Garza and Humberto Carrillo watched the match from the podium in the crowd.

– Joe Coffey visited Tony D’Angelo in prison and told him that things had changed since he got locked up. He warned D’Angelo that Stacks has ambition, and he claimed that Stacks sold D’Angelo out. Coffey had proof, as he played a recording in which “Stacks” claimed he was the new underboss.

– Lash Legend and Jakara Jackson teased that they had their sights set on WWE Women’s Tag Team Champions Ronda Rousey and Shayna Baszler.

– In a vignette, Ilja Dragunov discussed what it means to be “Unbesiegbar”.

 

– Kelani Jordan introduced herself to Dana Brooke. The veteran offered to teach Jordan a thing or two in the ring.

– Schism (Ava, Joe Gacy, Jagger Reid, Rip Fowler) held a family meeting. Jagger Reid and Rip Fowler noted that they were starting to lose trust in Joe Gacy. Gacy said he owned his mistakes but countered by pointing out that he gave The Dyad a voice. Fowler said they were realizing who they really were. Gacy told Fowler and Reid he recognized them as individuals, and they could take over, which wasn’t the case a year ago. Diamond Mine (The Creed Brothers and Ivy Nile) interrupted. Gacy proposed a Loser Leaves NXT Match between The Creed Brothers and The Dyad (Jagger Reid and Rip Fowler).

– Mustafa Ali approached Wes Lee and admitted that he got too involved in his match with Tyler Bate. Ali claimed he called the match down the middle. Bate challenged Ali to a rematch due to Ali’s questionable officiating. Bate and Lee continued to argue about the officiating in the title match.

– Bronco Nima and Lucien Price were highlighted in a video package.

– Backstage, Jacy Jayne talked some trash about Lyra Valkyria, who showed up and sheared what she was saying. Valkyria attacked her from behind and said she doesn’t play games. Rhea Ripley walked in and called Valkyria a badass.

– Robert Stone found Von Wagner backstage, and Wagner was upset about the trauma his family went through. He stormed off.

– Ava told The Dyad to trust Joe Gacy, as he has a plan.

– Bron Breakker was heard shouting in Shawn Michaels’ office and saying he couldn’t be controlled.

– Andre Chase commented on his return.

– NXT Champion Carmelo Hayes noted that Tuesday was a good day following his win.

– NXT Women’s Champion Tiffany Stratton stated that she wasn’t in her prime yet.

– Channing “Stacks” Lorenzo seemingly confirmed that he is responsible for Tony D’Angelo’s arrest.

– In an NXT Digital Exclusive, Carmelo Hayes and Trick Williams commented on the NXT Champion’s win.
