Adam Cole will compete at AEW x NJPW Forbidden Door.
The June 23 episode of AEW Rampage came just two days ahead of AEW x NJPW Forbidden Door on June 25. Before the show, Cole hadn’t been booked for a match at the pay-per-view.
Adam Cole came to the ring to speak after it was revealed that he would be MJF’s partner in the Blind Eliminator Tag Team Tournament on AEW Dynamite. MJF immediately interrupted, and he told Cole that he did him a favor by getting him booked at AEW x NJPW Forbidden Door. Lawlor and Royce Isaacs blindsided Cole and viciously attacked him.
The AEW World Champion took his time coming to the ring to “save” his tag team partner. He then wished Cole luck in his match at the pay-per-view. Tom Lawlor attacked Cole, setting up a match between the two for AEW x NJPW Forbidden Door.
After Adam Cole convinced MJF to accept his match with #Tanahashi at #ForbiddenDoor for the #AEW World Championship, MJF is here to “thank” his BLIND TAG TEAM Partner with a match against #FilthyTomLawlor at #ForbiddenDoor!!!
