Brett Lauderdale Comments On Blake Christian Being Pulled From GCW Title Defense For ROH Bout
Brett Lauderdale knows the game.
Blake Christian was scheduled to defend his GCW World Championship against Kevin Blackwood on June 17 in Los Angeles against Kevin Blackwood.
However, ahead of the event, GCW announced that Christian would not appear “Due to circumstances out of our control.”
Christian would end up working the ROH TV tapings on June 17 in Chicago, which took place before and after AEW Collision.
Brett Lauderdale commented on the situation, saying, “Just to be clear, this wasnt totally unexpected. If you book contracted talent, there is a chance they can be pulled at *any time* for *any* reason. It’s frustrating at times, but it comes with the territory and its a calculated risk we are willing to take. Everything will be ok.”
