Report: Mike Bennett And Maria Kanellis Set To Appear On WWE TV
Another former Impact Wrestling star is expected to make his debut on WWE television, according to reports.
According to PWInsider, Mike Bennett and Maria Kanellis are expected to appear on WWE television this week. This would be Bennett’s WWE debut and Kanellis’ return to the company since 2010.
Kanellis started her career in WWE with the 2004 Divas Search and stayed there until 2010. She would then join Bennett in Ring of Honor from 2011 onwards. She had joined Bennett, her husband, when he joined TNA in 2016 and was involved in numerous storylines inside TNA’s knockout division. Kanellis even had a 50-day reign as TNA Knockouts Champion.
Bennett, who had been wrestling since 2002, had been competing all over the world, from Ring of Honor, to New Japan Pro Wrestling and TNA. Bennett, alongside Kanellis, was a major part of the Kingdom stable in Ring of Honor and is a former ROH World Tag Team and IWGP Tag Team Champion.
During his time in TNA, which lasted about 14 months, Bennett has challenged for virtually every singles championship in the company, winning the X Division title.
The move comes a couple of months after the Hardy Boys and Drew McIntyre left Impact and joined WWE. The Hardys are competing on RAW while McIntyre is competing on NXT.
