AKIRA Wins MLW World Middleweight Title On 6/15 MLW Fusion
Lince Dorado has been dethroned.
On the June 15 episode of MLW Fusion, AKIRA won the MLW World Middleweight Title in a triple threat match against Lince Dorado and Lio Rush.
The finish saw AKIRA hit the death penalty (lifting reverse DDT) on Dorado for the victory.

The triple threat bout was taped on April 6.
This marks AKIRA’s first reign with the MLW World Middleweight Championship. Lince Dorado won the title at the October 30, 2022 MLW TV tapings. His victory aired on the January 12, 2023 episode of MLW Fusion. Dorado made two successful title defenses.
