WWE Women’s Tag Team Title Unification Match Set For 6/23 WWE SmackDown
Both Women’s Tag Team Champions in WWE have agreed to a unification match.
Isla Dawn and Alba Fyre arrived on the June 9th episode of SmackDown for an interview with Kayla Braxton and the reigning WWE NXT Women’s Tag Team Champions were quickly interrupted by the WWE Women’s Tag Team Champions, Ronda Rousey and Shayna Baszler.
Baszler stormed to the ring to say that she was the reason the NXT Women’s Tag Team Championship was created, and she and Ronda proclaimed that they wanted their championships as WWE “isn’t big enough for two sets of Women’s Tag Team Champions.”
Isla and Alba agreed, leading to a brawl where the NXT Women’s Tag Team Champions were able to get some offense in on the former MMA competitors.
