Report: Legends Segment Planned For Money In The Bank This Sunday
WWE holds its Money In The Bank pay-per-view this Sunday in St. Louis, and the promotion reportedly is planning a segment that will acknowledge the rich wrestling history of the city.
According to the Wrestling Observer, several individuals have been approached for a legends segment during the pay-per-view. Names confirmed for the segment, according to the report, include the following:
- Ric Flair
- Bob Orton, Jr.
- Larry Hennig
- Baron Von Raschke
- Greg Gagne
The Observer also reported Gerald Brisco, Rocky Johnson, and Ted DiBiase as possibly making appearances during the segment, although it is still uncertain exactly what the segment will be or what its subject matter.
St. Louis, which was one of the major territories during the heyday of the territorial era, has hosted more pay-per-view events in recent years than any city of comparable size. Many of the names being used or reportedly being considered for the segment were big draws during the St. Louis territory era.
