– After recapping the proceedings of Roman Reigns’s 1000-Day Title Reign Celebration, Michael Cole & Wade Barrett welcomed the audience to the broadcast before transitioning into the opening segment.
– Solo Sikoa & Paul Heyman began the show, but they were immediately interrupted by Jey Uso. Jey said that he let a lot of things slide, but he drew the line at Sikoa spiking Jimmy Uso in the neck before Jey demanded Heyman continue his speech. Heyman said that Jey had it all wrong, saying that The Bloodline imploding was it was Jimmy Uso’s fault because he made up his own mind for himself & for Jey. Heyman stood close to Jey and asked why Jimmy did not let him know he would attack Reigns because he was always “the older brother” and saying that Jimmy was always the fact that Reigns has always wanted Jey to be the future “Tribal Chief”, saying that Jimmy had resented Jey for that ever since. Heyman set up a match for Jey Uso to face United States Champion Austin Theory in the main event. Heyman extended his hand to Jey to shake it, but Jey said that he would get back to Heyman on that later.
Men’s Money In the Bank Qualifier Match.
Mustafa Ali vs. Santos Escobar (w/ Rey Mysterio).
LA Knight joined the broadcast team for the match.
Ali & Escobar argued in the center of the ring before Escobar hit Ali with a jab. The two exchanged chops in the corner before Escobar hit a shoulder tackle on Ali. Escobar went for a shoulder block on Ali in the corner, but Ali evaded before hitting a Hurricanrana on Escobar to send him to the outside. The two brawled on the outside before Escobar went for a Suplex on Ali onto the apron, but Ali blocked it before Escobar slammed Ali into the ring post, which he followed up by hitting a Hurricanrana off the apron to send Ali onto the ringside floor. Escobar got Ali back in the ring. Ali rolled out of the ring, but Escobar hit a Tope Suicida & a Diving crossbody on Ali to the outside before the commercial break.
Back from the break, Ali & Escobar exchanged punches on the top rope before Ali slammed Escobar onto the ringside floor. Back in the ring, Ali evaded Escobar before hitting a Tornado DDT for a near fall. Ali got on the top rope, but Escobar caught him with an enziguri kick before getting Ali in a Fireman’s Carry. Ali tried to get off the grasp of Ali, but Escobar powered through and hit an Avalanche Phantom Driver on Ali for the pinfall win. Escobar celebrated with Joaquin Wilde, Cruz Del Toro, Zelina Vega & Rey Mysterio outside of the ring.
Winner: Santos Escobar.
– Sami Zayn spoke with Jey Uso backstage ahead of Jey’s match against Austin Theory. Zayn said that he wished they spent more time together as a part of the Bloodline, but blamed it on Roman Reigns for tearing apart for himself. Zayn said that he always tried to keep everyone together but said that he had enough of Reigns at some point, but acknowledged that if he wanted to be the next Tribal Chief, he was welcome to do so. Zayn told Jey to listen to his heart, not to what is in his ears. Jey walked out of the shot afterward.
– Kayla Braxton hosted an in-ring interview with NXT Women’s Tag Team Champions The Unholy Union (Alba Fyre & Isla Dawn). As soon as The unholy Union were going to speak, they were immediately interrupted by WWE Women’s Tag Team Champions Ronda Rousey & Shayna Baszler. Baszler said that she was the reason the NXT Women’s tag belts were created and that she was here to collect what was hers. Rousey told Baszler that the division was not big enough for two top teams before saying that they wanted a title vs. title match, which The Unholy Union accepted. Fyre & Dawn brawled with Baszler & Rousey. Dawn & Fyre laid out Fyre & Dawn before Rousey pulled Baszler away from the Unholy Union.
– There was a video package in tribute to the life & career of Hossein Khosrow Ali Vaziri, famously known as “The Iron Sheik”. You can see the reaction of the wrestling world to Iron Sheik’s passing here. Fightful sends its condolences to The Iron Sheik’s family, friends, and fans.
Women’s Money In the Bank Qualifier Match.
“Michin” Mia Yim (w/ AJ Styles) vs. Bayley (w/ Iyo Sky).
Bayley fired away with forearm strikes on Yim to begin the match before taunting Styles on the outside, but Yim responded by hitting a Tope Suicida to the outside. Yim got a series of pins on Bayley before firing with punches on Bayley for a near fall. Yim hit a series of body shots on Bayley before doing a Bandera leap into a running Hurricanrana on Bayley. Yim hit a jab on Bayley before hitting a Slingshot Tornado DDT on Bayley for a near fall. Yim hit a series of toe kicks on Bayley’s nose. Bayley pretended to be injured before going at Yim, but Yim detected the tomfoolery and caught her with a boot kick. Yim went for Bayley at the corner, but Bayley evaded to send Yim crashing into the ring post before Bayley hit the Rose Plant for the pinfall win.
Winner: Bayley.
– After the match, Karrion Kross & Scarlett attacked Styles on the outside before Yim made the save on the outside.
– Bianca Belair argued Adam Pearce backstage, with Pearce asking Belair to not attack Asuka during the WWE Women’s Championship Belt Unveling if she wanted a rematch. Belair was enticed by the idea of a rematch and obliged.
– The OC cut a promo backstage, with AJ Styles saying he wanted Karrion Kross while Mia Yim said that she wanted, as she called her, “That raggedy witch” Scarlett.
– Raw Women’s Champion Asuka came. to the ring to be presented with a new belt. Adam Pearce gifted a new belt to Asuka, naming her the new WWE Women’s Champion. After she was given the belt, Charlotte Flair made her return to interrupt Asuka. Pearce immediately recognized what Flair was trying to do and that there was a line, but Flair said that she made the line. Flair challenged Asuka for the belt, which Asuka accepted. Flair booted Asuka in the face.
– Paul Heyman tried to sweet talk Jey Uso backstage, saying that he would host a celebration for Jey Uso, Roman Reigns & Reigns’s acknowledgment of Jey Uso as the new Tribal Chief. Jey said that if he was in the Bloodline again, he would make sure that Paul Heyman would be out.
– Backstage, Bianca Belair stared daggers at Adam Pearce. Pearce said that he would try to figure the WWE Women’s title scene, which Belair responded by saying that he better because she would get her lick back at Asuka.
Men’s Money In the Bank Qualifier Match.
Baron Corbin vs. Butch (w/ Sheamus & Ridge Holland of The Brawling Brutes).
Trick Williams & NXT Champion Carmelo Hayes were at ringside to watch the match. Corbin cut a promo at Hayes & Williams and promised to beat Butch to go to Money In The Bank before telling Hayes to sit down like the fan that he was.
Butch immediately caught Corbin with a enziguri kick, two corner Gamonguri Kicks, and a Tornado DDT on Corbin to begin the match for a near fall. Butch went for a Moonsault, but Corbin evaded before hitting a Tilt-to-Whirl Back Breaker on Butch. Corbin went for the Deep Six, but Butch evaded and hit another Gamonguri before snapping Corbin’s fingers on the apron, but Corbin responded with a lariat. Corbin talked trash to Hayes & Williams, but Butch caught Corbin with a Yuji Gatame before transitioning into a pin for the win! The Bruiserweight advances to Money In The Bank.
Winner: Butch.
Corbin punched Williams on the guard rail before Williams & Hayes went to attack Corbin. Referees separated the three as the crowd erupted in “NXT” Chants.
– There was a video package for Bobby Lashley.
– Butch celebrated backstage with The Brawling Brutes. Corbin tried to interrupt the celebrations, but was attacked with a forearm strike from Cameron Grimes.
Women’s Money In the Bank Qualifier Match.
Shotzi vs. Iyo Sky (w/ Bayley).
Sky hit a dropkick on Shotzi after Bayley’s distraction for a near fall. Shotzi hit a suplex on Sky into the corner, but Sky responded with a boot kick before hitting a double stomp on Shotzi’s arm. Sky targeted Shotzi’s arm before hitting an arm breaker off the top rope on Shotzi. Sky went for a Shotgun Dropkick off the top rope, but Shotzi evaded and hit a face slam, a knee strike, a Question Mark Kick, and a Cannonball Senton on Sky on the corner before hitting a Tope on Sky to the outside. Back in the ring, Bayley distracted Shotzi, allowing Sky to hit a Shote on Shotzi. Shotzi tossed Sky with a Facebuster, but Bayley saw the referee distracted and slammed Shotzi’s neck on the top turnbuckle. Sky saw the opening and hit the Moonsault on Shotzi for the pinfall win.
Winner: Iyo Sky.
– WWE United States Champion Austin Theory was interviewed backstage, promising to send Jey Uso back to the Bloodline as a failure. Theory then said that if Heyman was looking for a new client, he can check him out.
– WWE Tag Team Champions Sami Zayn & Kevin Owens talked backstage, but they were interrupted by The Brawling Brutes (Butch, Sheamus & Ridge Holland), Pretty Deadly (Elton Prince & Kit Wilson), The LWO (Joaquin Wilde & Cruz del Toro), The Good Brothers (Luke Gallows & “The Machine Gun” Karl Anderson) & The Street Profits (Montez Ford & Angelo Dawkins). Kevin Owens lost his mind for having everyone getting too close to him. Adam Pearce got in and set up a Gauntlet Match to determine the #1 Contenders for the WWE Tag Team Championships.
– There was a video package promoting Grayson Waller.
WWE United States Championship Match.
Austin Theory (c) vs. Jey Uso.
The two locked up before Theory got a headlock on Jey before hitting. shoulder tackle on Jey. Jey responded and hit a forearm strike on Theory before clotheslining Theory to the outside, followed by tossing Theory over the broadcast table before the commercial break. Back from the break, the two exchanged punches in the ring before Uso hit a Pop-Up Neckbreaker on Theory for a near fall. Jey went for a hip attack, but Theory slammed Jey into the middle turnbuckle before hitting a Rolling Shotgun Dropkick on Jey for a near fall. Theory hit a forearm shiver on Jey before hitting a Torture Rack Bomb on Uso for a near fall. Theory went for A-Town Down, but Uso evaded and hit a thrust kick, a slap, a step-up enziguri, and a Thrust Kick on Theory, sending the referee to the outside. Uso hit a Frog Splash on Theory to get a pin, but the referee was knocked out on the outside. Pretty Deadly came in to attack Jey, but Jimmy Uso came in and made the save for Jey Uso. Solo Sikoa attacked Jimmy from behind before going for the Samoan Spike on Jimmy, but Jey blocked it. Jimmy accidentally hit a Thrust Kick on Jey. Jimmy & Sikoa brawled on the outside, allowing Theory to get Jey for the pinfall win.
Sikoa & Paul Heyman stared daggers at Jimmy Uso & Jey Uso. Jimmy tried to hug Jey, but Jey pushed him off. Jey left the arena on his own before the end of the broadcast.
Winner AND STILL WWE United States Champion: Austin Theory.
