House of Black (Malakai Black, Brody King, & Buddy Matthews) retained the AEW Trios Championships at AEW Double or Nothing, defeating The Acclaimed (Max Caster & Anthony Bowens) & Billy Gunn.
The finish saw Black hit Gunn with the Black Mass.
The Acclaimed, who won a Trios Battle Royale on the May 3 episode of AEW Dynamite, answered the Open House Challenge.
During his pre-rap promo, Caster mentioned that Buddy Matthews is “getting cucked” by a kid named Dominik, a reference to Dominik Mysterio being aligned with Rhea Ripley, Buddy’s girlfriend in real life, on WWE television.
The Acclaimed chose to have no advantage despite the Open House rules stating the challenging team gets a rule advantage of their own.
