REPORT: Rusev Medically Cleared To Return To WWE In-Ring Action

Former United States Champion Rusev has been medically cleared to return to the ring, and is expected back on SmackDown soon.

Looks like the Bulgarian Brute has "crushed" his shoulder rehab and is ready to start Machka-ing again.

Pro Wrestling Sheet is reporting that Rusev met with WWE doctors yesterday and has been cleared to return to the ring.

The 300 pound superstar underwent shoulder surgery in March, but WWE never revealed the exact diagnosis nor how the injury was sustained.

He last appeared in a match against Big Show at the Raw branded Fastlane PPV on March 5, then was drafted to SmackDown Live as part of the Superstar Shakeup post-WrestleMania.

The former Greatest United States Champion Ever appeared via a video on the April 25th edition of SDLive (which you can see above) and demanded a WWE Championship match at Money In The Bank or, he told Commissioner Shane McMahon, he'd just go back to Bulgaria. Shane never answered, so Rusev threatened to show up on SmackDown, then never did. Rusev's former running buddy and occasional tag team partner Jinder Mahal became Champion soon after, and he will be defending the title against Randy Orton at Money In The Bank.

Regardless of what happens in that match, it's a safe bet that the newly cleared Rusev will have something to say about it very soon.
