PCO Lives, Jordynne Grace Dominates, Several Champions Pick Up Wins | IMPACT x ROH Recap

Here is your fight size update following IMPACT and ROH Wrestling on Thursday, May 25, 2023. 

Below are highlights from both Thursday night wrestling shows.

IMPACT Wrestling  

– In the closing segment, Steve Maclin declares that the match against PCO is not happening at Under Siege, but he will defend his title against Champagne Singh. IMPACT President Scott D’Amore interrupted and overturned Maclin’s decision to have Singh challenge for his title. D’Amore promises to hand Maclin the IMPACT World Title if he wins at Under Siege but reveals that PCO will still be his opponent. PCO takes out Singh and Shera as Maclin retreats up the ramp, and PCO stood tall with the World Title as IMPACT went off the air.

– During a furious brawl in the backstage area, Masha Slamovich puts Killer Kelly to sleep.

– In a singles bout, Jordynne Grace quickly dispatches Alisha Edwards with the Gracer Drive to claim the decisive win.

– Courtney Rush is now ready to fight beside Jessicka in IMPACT Wrestling. Rush is the “human” form of Rosemary.

– Kenny King & Sheldon Jean defeated Decay’s Black Taurus & Crazzy Steve. Following the bout, King takes the microphone and gives a message to Nick Aldis, who was on commentary. Aldis fires back and takes out Jean at ringside moments later. King challenges Aldis to a fight in the ring but retreats at the last minute.

– Following the upset victory for Jason Hotch over Ace Austin last week, Chris Bey evened the score with The Good Hands by defeating John Skyler with the Art of Finesse.

– Trinity is ready to make her IMPACT Plus debut against Gisele Shaw at Under Siege.

– Chris Sabin defeated Mike Bailey in the opening encounter. Sabin will challenge Trey Miguel for the IMPACT X-Division Title at Under Siege.

– Moose, Yuya Uemura, Jonathan Gresham, Frankie Kazarian, Alex Shelley, and Eddie Edwards compete in the #1 Contenders match at Under Siege to see who will receive a shot at the IMPACT World Title.

Ring of Honor 

– On May 25, ROH featured a 19-match SuperCard. Among those matches, Claudio Castagnoli defeated Serpentico in a Ring of Honor World Championship Proving Ground match. 

– Athena will defend her Ring of Honor Women’s World Championship against Kiera Hogan next week. Both women scored victories on May 25

– Despite losing to The Kingdom, The Mack Attack is here to stay. 

– Stu Grayson & The Righteous gelled in trios action tonight. 

– Blake Christian, Skye Blue, Penta El Zero M, and Shane Taylor also picked up victories, among others. 

– In the headlining match, Samoa Joe teamed with Zack Sabre Jr. to defeat Christopher Daniels and Matt Sydal.
