REPORT: Braun Strowman Cleared To Return To The Ring Following Elbow Surgery

HE'S NOT FINISHED WITH US.

PWInsider is reporting that they have been told by multiple sources that Braun Strowman has been cleared to return to the ring, and we may all now rejoice.

Braun has been out of action since mid-May following surgery to repair a kayfabe "shattered elbow." Also in kayfabe, Strowman was supposed to be out for "up to six months." It hasn't even been six weeks. We know that Strowman did have elbow surgery, but word spread quickly that the six months figure put out by WWE was a work.

Many reports gave a prognosis of two months recovery time, but word going around backstage at Raw last night was that Strowman was cleared a week ago and will be back as soon as WWE Creative figures out how best to re-introduce him.

Strowman was in a feud with Roman Reigns when he went out. Following a match at Payback on April 30, Strowman ran shoulder-first through an ambulance door, then had the other door slammed on that same shoulder–the left one–by Reigns, multiple times.

During a show on the European tour which followed Payback, Strowman wrestled with his right shoulder taped. The following week on Raw, he showed up on Raw with his left arm in a sling, and beat down Kalisto one handed. Roman Reigns showed up, he himself still selling his own injuries from Payback and went to town on Strowman's left arm with a chair. You can see that video at the top of the page.

It was announced that Strowman had left the European tour early and would be undergoing immediate surgery on his elbow. The surgery was performed on May 11.

Back on May 22, Strowman posted this photo to his Instagram:

The rumors have been swirling for months that a Braun vs Brock Lesnar match is in the works for Summerslam.
